Samira Mahboub

Samira Mahboub is someone who I’ve been very inspired by since I’ve come across her page and her business. She is a German Moroccan performance artist and entrepreneur and I’m constantly inspired by her bold vision for her business. She founded Limala to celebrate Moroccan’s artisanal culture by highlighting the beauty behind the art of traditional rug making. She contextualizes her business within broader scope of cultural storytelling. Through her work, she educates on cultural appropriation and she sheds light on decolonial practices that we can employ in our daily lives. I’ve learnt so much from her writings as well as her educational videos.
